Haasil is a movie that is set and shot in and around Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. It is based on the real-life incidents of student politics and crime that took place in the University of Allahabad in the late 1990s.
The plot of Haasil movie
The movie begins with Anirudh, a law-abiding college student, meeting Niharika at university. They quickly become romantically involved. However, their relationship can't escape the political battles between two rival gangs of students headed by Gauri Shankar Pandey and Ranvijay Singh.
When Anirudh meets Ranvijay, who has eliminated Gauri Shankar Pandey, he believes that he is merely helping his fellow student. Anirudh gets involved in violent politics and shoots Niharika's cousin accidentally. Ranvijay helps him escape to Mumbai with the help of his aide Javed (Varun Badola).
Anirudh later learns the truth about Ranvijay, who is a ruthless and cunning criminal who wants to marry Niharika. He also blackmails the Chief Minister Kamalnath Tiwari (Sudhir Pandey) with some evidence.
Anirudh decides to return to Allahabad and confront Ranvijay. He gets the help of Badri Shankar Pandey (Murad Ali), the brother of slain Gauri Shankar Pandey, who wants to avenge his brother's death.
A fierce gun battle takes place at the Kumbh Mela between the gangs of Ranvijay and Badri Shankar Pandey before Anirudh kills Ranvijay. The Chief Minister helps them escape the crime scene and gets Anirudh discharged from all the cases.
